Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what you tell us on a form, plus basic analytics about how the site is used. We use it to answer your request and to arrange insurance and annuity coverage if you decide to move forward. We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us what we hold, and ask us to delete it.

Who we are

On Point Finances is a licensed life insurance agency in Los Gatos, California, California Department of Insurance License #0G82966. We are the business responsible for the personal information described here.

What we collect

• Information you give us. Name, email address, phone number, retirement timeline, and anything you write in a message field.
• Consent records. If you tick a consent box, we record the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the network address the form was submitted from.
• Information needed to place coverage. If you choose to proceed, an insurance application requires additional detail such as date of birth, health information, income, beneficiaries, and financial account information. We collect that only at that stage, only with your participation, and only what the carrier requires.
• Usage information. Standard analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you reached the site.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a conversation.
• To prepare and submit insurance or annuity applications you have asked us to prepare.
• To meet legal, regulatory, and carrier record-keeping obligations.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with:

• Insurance carriers, when you have asked us to seek coverage on your behalf.
• Our insurance marketing organisation, Global Financial Impact, where required to place or service business.
• Service providers who run our systems, such as our customer relationship management platform and website hosting, under contract and only to provide those services.
• Legal and regulatory bodies, where the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to understand traffic and measure advertising. These set cookies and may share limited information with those providers. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour as an opt-out request where applicable.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, our Messaging Terms & Consent apply. We do not share your mobile number or your messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Your California rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected, used, and disclosed.
• Delete personal information we hold, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Where a policy is placed, insurance and financial records are kept for the period required by California regulation and by the carrier, which is generally several years beyond the end of the relationship.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted here, and the date at the top of this page will change.
